Zach Husted is a Big Mountain snowboarder who hails from Westminster, Colorado. Growing up in Colorado allowed Zach to be immersed in “all things snow”. As a competitive freeride snowboarder he traveled the world racing and earned 11th in the Freeride World Qualifier in 2015-16 and was a top 10 USASA Boardercross athlete from 2006-08. After a successful career in freeride snowboarding, Zach worked as a cartographer at Microsoft. Ultimately the mountains kept calling, and he left his desk job in order to pursue his passions every day. He travels the world snowboarding and works as a medic and trail builder to fund his travels. He is living his dream, traveling, riding and photographing the wilderness he loves. For half the year, he calls Rotorua, New Zealand home while living, working, and traveling in his custom campervan build. When not on a board, Zach loves to fly fish, mountain bike and explore areas off the beaten path.
