"OH MY GOODNESS" as my son would say, where did three months go? Well I have mixed feelings about the first race, I won in 18:26, but ran alone and was hoping to run faster. I have raced twice since then, my job has been quite demanding recently and allows me little time for anything. The good news is I have a new one with better hours. Good bye random night shifts. I am a Physician Assistant and work in the Emergency Room, no such thing as a schedule. The second race was road mile in which I took third in 5:06, I was quite happy as I had a horrible case of cellulitis on my foot from a w*** sting. I raced on the 4th of july after working late the night before. I ran 18:44, it was hot and rumored the course was 3.2 miles not 5K?????? My last race of the season is saturday and then it's a week off, I can wait, since they bare calling for temps into the low 100's this weekend with high humidity, sounds like fun. Thanks for everyone's support. (2 comments)
BOBBIE PERRY | 22 JUL 2011 AT 6:03 PM Go Jacque. You are an awesome athlete and runner. A great example especially in attitude.
BOBBIE PERRY | 22 JUL 2011 AT 6:06 PM Also, I am using the Power Bar Triple Threat for energy before training and races.

JACQUELINE CONCAUGH-GRUENDEL | 08 MAR 2011 AT 5:12 PM Sorry for the brief Hiatus, I was having some account issues, but they have me back up and running. Special Thanks to Kathy Roman and the Powerbar IT. The second race went much better than first, still not where I want to be, but considering I was up all night with sick kids, I will take a second place 5:07 on a beautiful indoor track at the Naval Academy, and I think the girl who beat me probably wasn't born when I started college. A step in the right direction, Patience is still not my speciality after all these years.
BOBBIE PERRY | 08 JUL 2011 AT 5:41 AM Good to see you still have the pit bull attitude. I met you at Landover 2009 and renamed my pit bull Jacque. She has loved it. I ran 3:02 800M at Landover age 62. Now 66 and ran 2:44.54 for AA status. Also got AA in 400M. I'm still lacking that pit bull attitude that takes a person to the top. Remembering your effort and working on it.

Sorry not training related, can someone help me with this embed code thing when I am trying to upload videos? Thanks so much. I tried cut and pasting the link from the embed, but it said it wasn't valid? (0 comments)
