Namrita O'Dea is an endurance mountain biker racing for Team Topeak-Ergon USA and she is also a Registered Dietitian and co-owner of 55nine Performance based in Atlanta, GA. She helps triathletes, runners, cyclists and other athletes reach their performance goals. She has a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, a Masters degree in Nutrition, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Applied Physiology at Georgia Tech.

Trying to balance my professional life and goals with a PhD program and, of course, racing. It's tough and involves constantly readjusting goals and expectations.
So far, my best races this year have had the number "13" in my race number. Maybe "13" is my lucky number?
I don't love cooking. I know, I'm a dietitian and I love eating good food..but just not cooking.
8 podium finishes so far in 2010 and learning to do things out of my comfort zone.
Mountain biking doesn't seem like training. Riding singletrack or mountain roads is always fun. I like doing intervals and my other favorite thing about training is eating!

I do a lot of training alone..mostly during the mid-day. I like it HOT. I heat acclimate very well and love riding and racing in hot weather. I actually love riding in the morning, too, I just hate getting up early!
