I hold a professional mountain bike license and enjoy racing throughout the New England area. I focus mostly on MTB racing, will try my legs at cyclocross, but also enjoy training on the road, and because of the cold New England winters I spend lots of time indoors on the trainer.
I think like every American cyclist Lance Armstrong inspired me to ride. I was also amazed by how my Uncle could so easily ride away from me when I was first starting, I wanted to catch him, and a few years later I think that he wonders the same thing about me.
I always clip my right foot into the pedal before the start of a race.
18th in the semi-pro field at National Championships in 2008.
Being outside, finding your limits and working past them, and eating lots of delicious Power Bar products before, during, and after a good training day!
Its funny, sometimes its the worst things about training that are the best. Riding in the rain, snow, and below freezing conditions all pay off mentally and physically, although you may not always enjoy it during.
