About Me

33 y/o swimmer, boxer and runner who ran 52 marathons in 52 consecutive weekends in 2006, while working a full-time job and raising over $43,000 for charity. Set a new PR at the time in my 42nd marathon of the year in 2006 and continue to push my own boundaries to see how far I can go.

Next up, in April of 2010, I will run the 204-mile American Odyssey Relay from Gettysburg to DC as a a solo runner and hopefully do so in 48 hours or less.

Inspirations

Inspiration can come from the obvious (my father was crippled in a hunting accident but never lets it get in his way of doing what he wishes to do) or the mundane (a regular joe or joette striving to get a Boston Qualifying time) to those who are just happy to be walking and living life.

Biggest obstacle/challenge

Overcoming naysayers who wish to impose their own mental limitations on your dreams and desires. Realizing that if you can ignore those around you telling you what you cannot do and simply go and do it is one of the greatest things anyone can do.

Superstitions

None.

Nobody knows...

I intercepted a pass for a 57 yard TD in the last game of my 8th grade football season to best a good friend who had done the same but for 55 yards in a game earlier in the evening.

Biggest athletic accomplishment

Running 84 miles in 12 hours at the Presque Isle Endurance Classic long before i even knew that was impressive.

Favorite thing about training

Knowing that I have the ability, aptitude, desire and opportunity to improve myself every single day and not letting that slip by.

Least favorite thing about training

Waking up.

I work out to...

see what challenge I have never done can be bested on that day.
