Iron Girl™ energy bars are designed to support a women's healthy lifestyle. Iron Girl energy bar by PowerBar® provides 40% of the Daily Value (DV) for Iron, 20% DV for calcium and for B vitamins: 45% DV riboflavin, 35% DV niacin, 40% DV vitamin B6, 20% DV folate and 25% DV pantothenic acid.

Why are iron, calcium, and B vitamins important for active women?

    Iron: Low iron stores is one of the most common nutrient deficiencies seen in athletes, especially women.(1) Iron helps carry oxygen around the body and to working muscles. If you have insufficient iron stores, it can cause fatigue during your workouts and your day.
  • Calcium: Calcium is important for bone health. Without adequate calcium and vitamin D, there is an increased risk for low bone mineral density and stress fractures.
  • B Vitamins: B vitamins help convert food to energy. Adequate intake of B vitamins is important to ensure optimum energy production and the building and repair of muscle tissue.(1)

Iron Girl energy bars provide 2 carbohydrate exchanges as defined by the American Dietetic Association and the American Diabetes Association. I have food allergies. Can I eat Iron Girl energy bars?

Our current formulations contain soy, wheat, milk, peanuts, and tree nuts. However, PowerBar encourages our consumers to always check the label for any changes. Please consult with your physician for more information on food allergies or sensitivities.

How do I store Iron Girl energy bars?

We recommend storing Iron Girl energy bars in a cool, dry place. In general, it is best to store Iron Girl energy bars between 40–80° F. Storing Iron Girl energy bars in areas where the temperature exceeds 80° F for an extended period of time will result in significant changes to the taste and texture of the product.

How long will my Iron Girl energy bars last?

Each Iron Girl energy bar is stamped with a "best by" date. We recommend that you use them by this date for our best quality.
