Berry Delicious
I had been using the Lemon and Cola Gel Blasts this past year while doing my long (3-6 hour) rides for Ironman training, and found them to be a great energy source to mix in with my normal routine of gels and more gels. I have to admit that I have been eating as many Gel Blasts at my desk as on the road since I did Ironman Canada in August, but isn't that what the off season is all about? PowerBar recently launched two new flavors of Gel Blasts, with Raspberry (0 mg caffeine) and Strawberry Banana (25mg caffeine) joining the Energy lineup. Biting into the Raspberry Gel Blasts is like tasting jam, and Strawberry Banana gives me that extra kick with the caffeine. Both new flavors are available at sports retail stores just like Lemon and Cola (think your local bike or running shop, or sporting goods store), and they are also available nationwide at 7-11 and select Target stores. So now Gel Blasts are even easier to find when on the go.
