Mad Dog Race Team takes Utah State Championship!
The Mad Dog Cycles Race team won the Utah Intermountain Cup race series for 2011. After a close battle with Utah Mountain Biking throughout the season the championship came down to the final race with only a 21 point difference in the points.Both teams showed up in force at Snowbasin Ski Resort near Ogden Utah for the 11th and final race of the ICUP series. UMB scored 152 points and Mad Dog Cycles scored 151, leaving a 20 point margin of victory for the Orem based team. Pro rider KC Holley said of the season, "This was the closest battle we've had in 6 years or more and it's nice to take the cup back again."Powerbar was a critical component to victory this year as the team was well provisioned with Gels, Gel Blasts and Ironman Perform.
