2010 Outdoor Season

4611-r.jpgThe 2010 Outdoor Track and Field Season was packed with lots of learning experiences.  This year I learned how to train SMARTER.  I will not tell a lie.  I tried to maintain a training regime that could have been compared to a college athlete.  The biggest difference is that in college all I did was run, eat, study, sleep and run some more.  Today, I am a caregiver, I work, volunteer and train.  It's hard to digest, but I am getting older and WISER!!!  At the beginning of the outdoor season I incorporated more rest/recovery and accepted the fact that every workout doesn't have to be a hard workout.  The Result:

  • 6th Place, 400 meter, 57.74 (Season Best)
  • 600 meters, 1:37.4 (Season Best @ Practice)
  • 200 meters, 25.9 (Sprint Medley Relay/Meet Record at USATF Club Nationals, San Francisco, California)
  • 2nd Place, 400 meters, 58.7 (Women's 35-39, USATF Masters National Track and Field)
  • 1st Place, 800 meters, 2:20.3 (Women's 35-39, USATF Masters National Track and Field, Women's 35-39)
  • 1st Place. 4x400, American Record Women's 35-39
