Ironman Canada

Ironman Canada is now one of my favorite IMs so far...next to Lake Placid.

Ironman Florida

Ironman Florida was not the most fun of all my Ironmans...cold, windy, but sunny! The day started off chilly (the swim was the warmest part of the day) and maintained that chill throughout the day. During the semi-choppy swim I poked a jellyfish, swam over another one and saw a stingray and a crab...and something hit me in my chest (not a person) but I didn't want to know what it was so I just swam faster. The bike was windy and boring, but my best time yet so I'm not complaining too much. The run was another story...as I am a "runner" my show was not up to "speed". I left the first half of my run on my bike and thought I was done but something in me can back screaming so my last half felt better and I finished with my best time yet (not exactly happy with the time, but good enough for the day).

Bangs Lake Duathlon

I placed 3rd overall female in this race and it was my first ever duathlon. I normally race triathlons, including Ironman, but decided at the last minute to do this one with a friend of mine. It was super fun! I did another one a month later and came 1st overall female! Maybe there's something here...?

Duathlon

I did my first Du and it went well! I came 3rd overall woman! I wasn't too sure how it was going to go for two reasons...1 I had never ran before riding (literally, I always did bike to run bricks or swim to bike/run, but never a run before ride...) and 2 I had biked 83 hilly miles with a short run afterwards the day before...SO with that said, I did well! I am curious now how I would do if I had fresh legs that day...so I'm looking to do another du in Oct. We'll see!
