Big K Classic Powerlifting Meet
Today was the Big K Classic Powerlifting Meet. Team PowerBar Elite had an excellent showing. Out of the ten lifters in the meet, all placed first. We set 15 state records bringing our total to 25 for the state of Ohio. We also had our first "Best Lifter of The Meet" award winner in Helen Daher in the 114 pound weight class. Helen Totaled 600.75 pounds in the full power meet. This was an increase of almost 100 pounds over her last full meet. She also set 8 state records as she competed in the Junior and Collegiate divisions. It was a long meet but definitely one which Team PowerBar Elite made its mark. More pictures to follow...
Mock Meet May 22, 2010
We had a "practice" meet today to work on figuring out our opening lifts for the meet in June. It was a good day for just about all of us. Got some new equipment broken in and had a chance to figure out what we needed to work on before the Big K.
Bio's Posted
We took head shots and worte up bio's on team members today. Just as a note, it dawned on me today that not one of us has ever lost in competition. We have all finished first in our weight class and division in every contest we have entered.
Back in the gym
Most of us have returned to the gym to begin training for the next meet which is in June. Training now consists of starting over with rebuilding muscle that was damaged during competition and then the slow process of increasing muscle mass, training that additional tissue, and finally preparing it for comprtition.
