Just finished up with Hermosa and Manhattan AVP. My volleyball partner and I took 5th place in Manhattan. Very excited! Long days of playing. It's so important to prep your body prior to competition. Drink plenty of water the days leading up, so you're well hydrated!!!

1.	Confidence: Having a strong sense of self confidence is extremely important. Visualize positive thoughts. Have faith and believe in your own ability and skills. Focus on Speed and mobility. Have the confidence that you will touch every ball on defense.....

2.	Finesse: Just because they're taller than you doesn't mean they can stop
you! Although you're not always going to be able to power one through a
blocker, you can still score points. Shorter players need to beat blockers with their finesse game. The Lindquist have mastered the finesse game!! Some techniques for getting past big blockers is working on coming in with a strong approach and then beating the opponents with Jumbo, Cutty (don’t think this is spelled right), or short over. ....... ..............

3.	Balance: Balance your workouts. Maintaining balance in your workouts is important. Don’t go crazy only doing one specific workout. Remember workouts you love and continue to do them. Don’t make all your workouts business, smile .. laugh.. and enjoy what you are doing. Balance your nutrition. Provide your body with a well-balanced diet: Carbs, protein, good fats, fruits/veggies and lots of water!
