"Perfect Timing"
One hour before the 2004 Tour of Canyonlands XC Mountain Bike Race I ate a Vanilla POWERBAR® Performance bar. The race started and at the top of the first climb I took the lead and got a small gap on the rest of the riders. At the halfway point of the race, I ate a Vanilla POWERBAR® Gel so I could maintain my energy level. Soon after that, my front tire went flat. I almost cried. As I fixed my flat I saw over 20 riders pass me. Riding as fast as I could, I started catching and passing each of the riders who had passed me. I reached the finish line and then waited for the results. I was thinking if I was lucky I maybe got top 5. The results were posted, and somehow, I won. I started thinking back and realized that I had eaten that POWERBAR® Gel at just the right moment in the race and it had given me the energy to catch and pass all the other riders and win the race.

"What's for Lunch in Tahoe? POWERBAR®!"
Somehow on my 100 mile ride around Lake Tahoe with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, I managed to miss the LUNCH stop. No big deal, huh? Not really, I like to eat and replenish. Lucky for me I had 3 POWERBAR® Performance bars and hooked up with others who had more! Thank GOD because that was my LUNCH and I finished with a smile :)

"Bike Ride Ration"
When our guide gave us the list for the ration pack needed to complete a four day mountain bike ride around three lakes in the south of Chile, I didn't realize how helpful the POWERBAR® Performance System would be. Only three of the twelve who started the tour had the strength to complete the 190 mile excursion. The three of us consistently consumed PowerBar products along the tiring days. Now I know better.

"What the Heck is Happening?"
The 2007 Ironman Louisville was to be my first ever Ironman. I prepared myself well, but never imagined what the day might bring.
My swim went great and I was off on my bike, ready for 112 miles. Unfortunately, I was experiencing difficulty staying on my seat. I couldn't understand why I was falling forward to the point where I was pushing my bar tape and handlebar wrap off of the end of my aero bars. I was using a lot of my energy to stop sliding and kept asking myself, "What the heck is happening?" Ah! I didn't practice with the chamois butter! It must have oozed through the fabric and gotten on the seat and made it as slick as glass. What to do, what to do? All I had on me was my spare tubular tires, CO2, sodium tablets, an allen wrench and a bunch of PowerBar bars...

"The Positive Thinker Achieves the Impossible"
I wanted to tell you how much I loved the PowerBar® Recovery sport drink. It was after midnight and I was at the finish of my first Ironman. They handed me some of the recovery shake and it tasted great. I will definitely be adding it to my workout regimen! I also thought I'd share my Ironman story. It was the hardest thing I have ever done, but also a great experience...

"A Goal I Thought Was Only For Others"
I never expected to participate in an Ironman, but I did not let the fact that I was 59 years of age deter me and I signed up. I love and look forward to my daily hour of exercise, but more than that is not especially appealing. Besides, too much training risks injury in an old man – well that was my excuse...

"Hope is One of the Reasons I am Still Here"
My name is Brian, I am 21 years old, and I live in Maryland. I have been an athlete for all of my life, starting at a young age with swimming, and also doing other sports such as basketball, track and field, powerlifting, and amateur bodybuilding to stay in shape. However, a month after I graduated from high school, I was on my way home from swim practice when I was hit by a dump truck while crossing a local intersection. The impact of the crash knocked me into a two month coma. It was unsure whether I would leave my hospital room in a wheelchair or a body bag...

"Body to Body"
I was in a contest from Feb 6th-9th to win a car. I had to be stuck to the car for the contest so I was only able to eat PowerBar products and water. I won the car and wanted to let you know. See more on the WMMR radio station's website in Philadelphia under the "Body to Body" contest.
"It is Because of Your Products That I Was Able to reach My Goal"
I just wanted to compliment you on your products. I had a double lung transplant 5 years ago due to end stage cystic fibrosis. This past November I became the first double lung transplant recipient to ever attempt and finish an Ironman distance triathlon at Ironman Florida...

"PowerBar Pro Pace Winner"
My wife and I were at packet pick up for the ING NYC marathon when I heard that PowerBar was sponsoring a giveaway for the chance to be paced by Ironman world champions Tim DeBoom and Peter Reid during the race. I was very excited to enter the contest and made a beeline straight to the PowerBar booth. I completed the entry form, dropped it in the box and thought nothing of it...
